Associates include Rubus pubescens, Ribes hirtellum, Rhamnus alnifolia, Vinurnum trilobum, Betula glandulifera, Toxicodendron rydbrgii, Cornus stolonifera, Platanthera hyperborea, Thelypteris palustris, Saxifraga pennsylvanica, Cypripedium reginae, Carex leptalea, C. disperma.
