Habitat: North-facing cliff (12-20 meter ht.). Canopy Betula papyrifera, Thuja occidentalis ... ~2m above toe in fissure of cliff. Assoc. spp.: Sorbus decora, Alnus viridis, Woodsia ilvensis, Polypodium virginianum, Taxus canadensis, Drypopteris [sic] fragrans. Mosses on ledges and crevices.
