Habitat: Inter-drumlin wetland complex ... poor conifer swamp ... Patchy canopy dominated by Larix laricina and Picea mariana, with scattered Pinus banksiana. Full shade to full sun. Deep saturated peat. Continuous Sphagnum spp., moss carpets. Forming loose clumps. Associated species include Carex interior, C. trisperma, C. disperma, C. chordorrhiza, C. lasiocarpa, Thelypteris palustris, Scheuchzeria palustris, Sarracenia purpurea, Smilacina trifolia, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Ledum groenlandicum, Andromeda glaucophylla, Chamaedaphne calyclata, Salix pyrifolia, Alnus incana.
