Growing in a black spruce/tamarack swamp with Larix laricina, Picea mariana, Ledum groenlandicum, Alnus incana, Gaultheria hispidula, Rubus pubescens, Cypripedium reginae, Drosera rotundifolia, Carex leptalea, Carex paupercula. Growing in a sphagnum hummock.
