Habitat: Rather strongly-rolling wooded terrain; in sedge fen dominated by Carex lasiocarpa in 15 acre depression with small open water section. In continuous carpet of Sphagnum moss. Spongy substrate. Full sun. Additional associates include Carex interior, Eriophorum gracile, Dulichium arundinaceum, Vaccinium macrocarpon, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Triadenum fraseri, Drosera rotundifolia, Sagittaria latifolia, Thelypteris palustris, Lycopus uniflorus, Potentilla palustris.
