Habitat: In a mesic railroad right-of-way prairie dominated by Schizachyrium scopariaum [sic], Andropogon gerardii, Spartina pectinata, and Panicum leibergii. Some Poa pratense and Phalaris arundinacea invasion. Associates include Koeleria macrantha, Asclepias tuberosa, Lobelia spicata, Fragaria virginiana, Petalostemon purpureum, Phlox pilosa, Amorpha canescens, A. nana, and Ratibida columnifera.
