Habitat: in moist to wet soil in small seepage swamp along base of 230ft, north-facing slope; Open canopy composed of Fraxinus nigra, Quercus macrocarpa, Q. alba & Acer saccharum.
Associated Species: Equisteum hyemale, E. arvense, Glyceria striata, Carex gracillima, C. radiata, C. granularis, C. stipata, C. laevivaginat, C. hysteracina, C. interior, Campanula americana, Viola cucullata, Floerkea proserpinacoides, Caltha palustris, Platanthera psycodes.
