Habitat: Extensive inter-drumlin wetland complex on rolling drumlin plain ... patterned rich sedge fen along water track ... in patch of fairly dense low shrubs (string) co-dominated by Betula glandulifera and Carex lasiocarpa. String formed near the edge of the upland and perpendicular to the subtle surface water flow. Deep, saturated, spongy peat. Additional associates include Carex diandra, C. chordorrhiza, C. livida, C. interior, C. limosa, Eriophorum gracile, E. chamissonis, E. viridi-carinatum, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Aster borealis, Thelypteris palustris, Galium labradoricum, Equisetum fluviatile, Menyanthes trifoliata, Potentilla palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Laris laricina, Salix pedicellaris, S. petiolaris.
