Habitat: in sunny parts of five acre boggy floating mat in depression surrounded by wooded 20-40 foot hills. Strongly-rolling morainal terrain; Some plants partially shaded by Larix laricina. Trailing through and over moist carpet of Sphagnum moss. Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, C. lacustris, Calla palustris, Scirpus cyperinus, Eriophorum gracile, Triadenum fraseri, Epilobium leptophyllum, Petasites sagittatus, Potentilla palustris, Viola renifolia, Salix petiolaris, S. pyrifolia, S. discolor.
