Habitat: Rolling forested drumlin plain ... along two-track logging road through mesic hardwood forest on gently-sloping upper portion of 40-foot high drumlin. Partial shade. Well-drained sandy-loam substrate. Associated species include Ribes cynosbati, Corylus cornuta, Prunus virginiana, Pteridium aquilinum, Aster macrophyllus, Aralia nudicaulis, Uvularia grandiflora, Carex pensylvanica.
Description: Local, ~20 plants. Floricanes high-arching, to seven feet long. Primocanes erect, to four+ feet long (not fully developed).
