Habitat:
thin soil and larger crevices...Full sun 10-40 feet above the lake on exposed, much-fractured diabase which slopes gradually to south. Associates include Veronica teucrium, Sedum telephioides, Poa compressa, Physocarpos opulifolius, Juniperus horizontalis, Potentilla fruticosa, P. tridentata, Diervilla lonicera, Achillea millefolium, Campanula rotundifolia, Euphrasia hudsoniana.
