Habitat: Strongly-rolling forested terrain ... along the north shore ... Lower portion of steep, 30- to 40-foot, south-facing slope immediately above the lake. Plants occur at upper edge of subtle groundwater seepage zones dominated by Carex stricta. Partial shade. Additional associats include Alnus incana, Cirsium muticum, Halenia deflexa, Rubus pubescens, Platanthera hyperborea.
