Habitat: wet prairie most of which was plowed in fall 1996 and left idle. Now returning to native species though somewhat weedy. Moist, sandy, organic soil. Full sun; Associates include Carex stricta, Poa palustris, Lycopus uniflorus, Campanula apainoides, Anemone canadensis, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Platanthera psycodes, Saxifraga pennsylvanica, Pedicularis lanceolata.
