Habitat: in 8 acre depression surrounded by the steep, 50-80ft. hills of a gravelly esker. On the margin of the boggy floating mat. Continuous Sphagnum cover. Full sun. Associated species include Chamaedaphne calyculata, Betula glandulifera, Andromeda glaucophylla, Carex lasiocarpa, Larix laricina.
