Habitat: Rolling forested moraine ... on margin of sedge meadow in small (3-acre) basin. Moist, shallow organic soil. Full sun to partial shade of Alnus incana. Associated species include Rubus strigosus, Salix petiolaris, Carex lacustris, C. vesicaria, Polygonum amphibium var. emersum, Iris versicolor, Stellaria longifolia, Geum aleppicum, Galium tinctorium, Equisetum sylvaticum.
