Habitat: Several subcanopy trees and seedlings on a small rise in [river] floodplain. Growing with Smilax lasioneura, Laportea canadensis, Lysimachia ciliata, and Elymus virginicus under a canopy of large Quercus macrocarpa and a few Fraxinus nigra.
