Habitat:
Frequent in wet meadow dominated by Carex stricta and Calamagrostis canadensis. Moist to wet organic soil over sand. Full sun. Associates include Eupatorium maculatum, Onoclea senibilis, Thelypteris palustris, Asclepias incarnata, Solidago gigante, Lathyrus palustris, Caltha palustris. Forning clumps.
