Habitat: in moist soil in small seepage swamp along base of 230ft, north-facing slope; Open canopy composed of Fraxinus nigra, Quercus macrocarpa, Q. alba & Acer saccharum. Associates include Carex gracillima, C. radiata, C. granularis, C. blanda, C. woodii, C. hirtifolia, Equisteum [sic] hyemale, E. arvense, E. pratense, Glyceria striata, Campanula americana, Viola cucullata, Rubus pubescens, Toxicodendron rydbergii.
