Habitat: seepage-fed tamarack swamp "hanging" along the base of a steep, 140ft, northeast-facng slope. Rather dense canopy of Larix laricina. Associates include Mitella nuda, Dryopteris cristata, Saxifraga pennsylvanica, Caltha palustris, Rubus pubescens, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Arisaema triphyllum, Betula glandulifera, Toxicodendron rydbergii. Forms dense carpets in localized areas.
