Habitat: in bog / shrubby poor fen in five acre depression surrounded by deciduous forest. On spongy Sphagnum - sedge mat. Partial shade of Larix laricina & Betula glandulifera. Associates include Carex canescens, C. lacustris, C. chordorrhiza, Vaccinium oxycoccus, V. macrocarpon, Salix pedicellaris, Potentilla palustris, Polygonum sagittatum.
