Habitat: in seepage swamp on valley floor at base of 240ft, northeast-facing sloope. Canopy of mature Fraxinus nigra, Betula allegheniensis & Pinus strobus. Additional associates include Ostrya virginiana, Acer saccharum, Tilia americana, Viburnum lentago, Galium aparine, Floerkea proserpinacoides, Caltha plaustris, Cenecio aureus, Cardamine bulbosa, C. pensylvanica, Allium cernuum. Moist to wet organic soil ... at base of cool slopes in vicinity.
