Habitat: Quercus rubra dominated forest with Pinus strobus, Pinus banksiana, and scattered Tilia americana. Open shrub layer dominated locally by Acer ginnala with Prunus serotina, and Aronia melanocarpa. Herbaceous layer with Toxicodendron rydbergii, Maianthemum canadense, M. stellatum, Moehringia lateriflora, and Parthenocissus vitacea.
