Habitat: At edge between an alluvial forest and an abandoned agricultural field. On floodplain, but above floodway ... Associated with Viburnum lentago, Zanthoxylum americanum.
Description: Estimated 3-5 days past peak anthesis. Two stems, each 2.5 m tall, 3-4 cm diameter. Open-grown with branches ascending. Stamens about 10, anthers pink. Compound thorns absent, simple thorns abundant. Collected from same stem as WRS26858 (fruiting specimen).
