Habitat: On fairly large sandbar in middle of the main channel. In wet coarse open sand on lower portions of the sandbar ~2-5 inches above current river level (low due to extended drought). Full sun. Associated species include Eleocharis intermedia, Eragrostis hypnoides, Leersia oryzoides, Polygonum lapathifolium, Heteranthera dubia, Rumex maritinus.
