Rolling terrain of the Nimrod Drumlin Plain ... in area regenerating from clear cut logging ~ 3 years prior (was previously a dry woodland dominated by Pinus banksiana and Populus tremuloides). Tan sand substrate. Full sun to partial shade of scattered young Populus tremuloides and Betula papyrifera ... Associates include Danthonia spicata, Poa pratensis, Dichanthelium depauperatum, Carex pensylvanica, C. tonsa, Pteridium aquilinum, Diervilla lonicera, Salix humilis, Rubus allegheniensis, R. strigosus.
