Habitat: Moderately rugged forested moraine ... small (~1/4-acre), rather shallow wetland basin. Growing in shallow water (<18"deep) and wet muck on wetland margin. Full sun to partial shade of small patch of Alnus incana. Water level low due to extended dry period; wetland apparently maintains some water throughout the summer in all but driest years. Associated species include Glyceria grandis, G. canadensis, Carex lacustris, C. retrorsa, Sparganium glomeratum, Alisma triviale, Lemna minor, Ranunculus flabellaris.
