Habitat: Small Quercus macrocarpa woodland with patches of Populus tremuloides. Understory of Viburnum rafinesquianum and Corylus americana (~70% cover). Other ground layer associates include Agastache foeniculum, Phryma leptostachya, Diervilla lonicera, Carex pennsylvanica, Oryzopsis asperifolia, Sanicula marilandica, Aralia nudicaulis, Rhus radicans.
