Habitat: boreal-type calcareous seepage fen along narrow water tract feature through large tamarack swamp complex. Sunny, wet, springy, moss-covered substrate. Associates include Scirpus cespitosus, S. acutus, Carex lasiocarpa, C. sterilis, C. limosa, C. interior, Eriophorum viridi-carinatum, Sarracenia purpurea, Parnassia glauca, Menyanthes trifoliata, Betula glandulifera, Triglochin maritima, Andromeda glaucophylla, Pedicularis lanceolata.
