Habitat: Locally common in small calcareous fen. Heavily grazed cattle pasture in rolling terrian southwest of [lake]. Deep saturated peat. Associates include Glyceria striata, Carex hysteracina, C. granularis, c. interior, C. sterilis, Typha x glauca, Scirpus atrovirens, Lysimachia quadriflora, Lobelia kalmii, Cirsium muticum, Salix discolor, Viola cf. nephrophylla, Aster novae-angiae, Senecio aureus, Solidago gigantea, Rudbeckia hirta.
