Habitat: on mid-slope of moderately-steep, northwest-facing slope; Mature maple basswood forest dominated by Tilia americana, Quercus rubra & Acer saccharum. Associates include Carex albursina, C. blanda, Milium effusum, Uvularia grandiflora, Geranium maculatum, Asarum canadense, Mitella diphylla, Carpinus caroliniana. Dark silt-loam over clay.
