Habitat: Forest burned in 1936. Canopy: Betula papyrifera, Abies balsamea, with Thuja occidentalis in shrub layer ... along near-vertical, slope-break of rock outcrop. Assoc. spp.: Gymnocarpium dryopteris, Goodyera repens, Pyrola secunda, Linnaea borealis, Eurybia macrophyla [sic], Rubus pubescens.
