Habitat: peatland between eskers. Sphagnum forms scattered low lying hummocks about 2 M in diameter on dryer portions. Carex in standing water to 25 cm. Shrubs stunted <10 cm standing water >75% around graminoids. Carex lasiocarpa, Carex interior, Eriophorum tenellum, Juncus canadensis, Rhyncospora alba, Drosera intermedia, Drosera rotundifolia, Chamaedaphne.
