Habitat: Occasionally occurring along the seasonally flooded channel ... within a wet meadow/cattail marsh complex. Soils are organic, saturated to inundated muck. Associated with Sagittaria latifolia, Alisma subcordatum, Polygonum sagittatum, Calamagrostis canadensis, Typha spp., Carex lacustris, Carex stricta, Carex comosa, and Echinochloa walteri. 35 to 50 plants observed within a 100-meter stretch of the main channel of Rice Creek.
