Habitat: Small kettle-hole bog (poor fen) in steeply-rolling terrain; in sphagnum on floating mat. Full sun to partial shade of scattered Larix laricina. Associates include Carex lacustris, C. lasiocarpa, Dulichium arundinaceum, Vaccinium macrocarpon, Betula glandulifera, Thelypteris palustris, Potentilla palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Sagittaria latifolia, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Triadenum fraseri.
