Habitat: Long-abandoned agricultural land between marsh and hardwood forest ... Associated with Lonicera tatarica, Rhamnus cathartica, Salix petiolaris, Zanthoxylum americanum, Acer negundo.
Description: Est 2-3 days past peak anthesis (spring 2-3 days late). An open-grown specimen with 3 stems, each about 2 m tall, and 4 cm diameter. Stamens about 20, anthers pink. No compound thorns present. Collected from same stem as WRS26841 (fruiting specimen).
