Habitat: Small prairie/oak savanna on remnant of glacial sand dunes, adjacent to lake. Forested (mixed oak and aspen) near lake becoming more open further away with scattered areas of open or nearly open sand. Open area dominated by Koeleria macrantha and Hesperostipa spartea with Poa pratensis and Toxicodendron rydbergii dominating closer to trees along with Rubus ithacanus. Other species include: Amorpha canescens, Lithospermum canescens, Tradescantia occidentalis, and scattered Penstemon grandiflorus ... in water.
