Habitat: Forested lakeshore dominated by mixed oaks and maple and shrub layer dominated by Frangula alnus near lake edge. Ground layer dominated in patches by Vaccinium angustifolium, Juniperus communis, and Lycopodium clavatum. Associated with Pyrola asarifolia and Maianthemum canadense.
