Habitat: Strongly-rolling forested moraine. Upper portion of steep, south-facing slope of 80-foot knoll. Small (~1-acre) dry prairie/savanna dominated by Andropogon gerardii. Full sun to partial shade of Quercus macrocarpa, Q. rubra, and Betula papyrifera. Associates include: Solidago speciosa, S. rigida, Monarda fistulosa, Lespedeza capitata, Galium boreale, Astragalus canadensis, Desmodium canadense, Aster oolentangiensis.
Description: Local on knoll. Frequent in dry prairie/savanna.
