Habitat: On a gentle north-facing slope. In fen, mostly near edge. Calcareous fen. In deep peat with travertine common near surface; dominated by Carex prairea and C. interior. Ph 8.1. conductivity 700 micromhos. Associated with Eriophorum angustifolium, Carex buxbaumii, Parnassia glauca.
Description: Infrequent. Forming dense tussocks.
