Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Between Crow Wing and Long Prairie rivers, 4 mile W-SW of Motley. South of Toms Lake. SE1/4 of NW1/4.;;T133N R32W S21

Habitat: Gently-rolling sandy terrain. ~25-acre black spruce swamp in center of shrub fen wetland complex. Fairly dense canopy dominated by mature Picea mariana. Understory mostly sparse; with Betula glandulifera, Acer rubrum, and Alnus incana in scattered canopy gaps. [Also] in Sphagnum spp. mosses that carpet the saturated peat substrate. Associated species include Carex trisperma, Smilacina trifolia, Dryopteris cristata, Lonicera villosa, Spiraea tomentosa, Andromeda glaucophylla, Ledum groenlandicum, Vaccinium angustifolium, V. oxycoccus.
Description: Local, infrequent. Several fairly large patches.
