Habitat: Wet forest along river. Solid Fraxinus nigra canopy. Ground appears as thought it may occasionally flood. Most common associates include Carex stricta, Phalaris arundinacea, Galium asprellum, Onoclea sensibilis, Rhamnus cathartica, Arisaema triphyllum, Elymus hystrix, Impatiens capensis, Carex retrorsa.
