Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Upper reaches of Swan River, 7 miles SW of Cushing, 10 miles E-SE of Browerville. SW1/4 of section;;130N;32W;24

Habitat: Large wetland complex in rolling forested moraine. In narrow zone on margin of tamarack swamp. In patchy canopy dominated by Fraxinus nigra, with scattered Larix laricina, and rare Pinus strobus. Also in understory with Alnus incana, Acer spicatum, A. rubrum, and Betula papyrifera. Moist to wet organic soil, sometimes in or near groundwater seepage zones along base of moderately steep, 30-foot, east-facing slope. Additional associates include: Rhamnus alnifolia, Osmunda cinnamomea, Impatiens capensis, Carex stipata, C. leptalea, C. disperma, C. interior.
Description: Local on margin, occasional in canopy. Specimen from middle branches of ~25-foot tall, 5-inch D.B.H. tree.
