Habitat: Large, open rich fen; brown mosses dominate; water just below peat level; not a floating mat. Fen dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Other common associates include Salix candida, Salix petiolaris, Calamagrostis canadensis, Polygonum amphibium, Potentilla palustris.
