Crest of steep SE-facing slope; extending from partly shaded edge of woodland into sunny opening of bedrock outcrop community. Associates: Amelanchier sp., Prunus pensylvanica, Corylus cornuta, Danthonia spicata, Dichanthelium sp., Rubus idaeus, Hedyotis longifolia, Vaccinium myrtilloides, Anaphalis margaritacea, Viola sp., Melampyrum linare [sic], Fragaria virginiana, Woodsia ilvensis, Diervilla lonicera.
