Description:
Large conspicuous flowers on shrub 6-8 ft. high. Racemes 4-6 cm long. Low. Pedicel 20-25 mm. Sepals 3x5 mm, hairy above and smooth below. Petals 5 x 13 mm. Hypanthium 5 mm, saucer-shaped. Ovary summit pubescent. Anthers 1 mm long. Leaves unfolded at flowering, 10 veins, serrate to base. [multiple collections of same plant on different dates]
