In a grassy/brushy habitat on right-of-way ... Associated with Celastrus scandens, Prunus americana, Rhus radicans var. rydbergii, Cornus foemina ssp. racemosa.
A large single-stemmed shrub about 3 meters tall and 8 cm dbh. Stamens 10, anthers white. No compound thorns present. fruit red, dull; L=1.3-1.5 cm, W=1.4-1.7 mm. Nutlets 3. Collected from same stem as #25624 (flowering specimen).
