Jack pine woodland on west facing slope of ~5-10 degrees ... Soils are sandy. Very open canopy. Growing with abundant Pteridium aquilinum, as well as Galium boreale, Danthonia spicata, Melampyrum lineare, Ceanothus herbaceus, Oryzopsis pungens.
