Habitat: In a mesic deciduous forest Dominated by Quercus rubra and Tilia americana. In mesic loamy soil, and moderate shade. Associated with Desmodium glutinosum, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Viburnum rafinesquianum, Apocynum androsaemifolium.
Description: Primocane 2 m long, high arching. Floricane 1.8 m long, low arching. Not tip-rooting.
