Habitat: In a brushy opening in oak-hickory forest. Soil rocky/gravelly, well-drained. Growing in partial shade.
Description: About half of fruits black, half red; short-oblong, 12-15 mm across, 14-19 mm long. Primocanes to 2.2 m long, high-arching. Floricanes to 2.6 m, arching, not tip-rooting.
