Habitat: In the understory of mixed forest of aspen-birch-fir. In mesic soil, and partial shade. Associated with Populus tremuloides, Betula papyrifera, Prunus virginiana, P. pensylvanica.
Description: Small tree/large shrub with 3 stems, the largest 5 m tall, and 4 cm dbh. Bark mottled gray, smooth. Ovaries glabrous. Non-clonal. From the same stem as #27679.
